Conspicuously lit buildings, glowing in shades of pink and red, lurk in the Avenues of Buenos Aires, inviting people of all ages and social backgrounds to spend a few hours in their dark chambers.

Not only do they offer basic rooms with bed and showers; the creativity of thematic rooms and playful ambience has no limits. From schoolrooms to gogo polls, from fifties-, egyptian- and greek-themed decoration to luxurious 2 story flats. Some even offer costumes, others are themed on zodiac signs.

Mirrors on the ceilings, jacuzzis and a room service offering food, drink and sex toys allow couples of any constellation a chance to escape a daily routine and venture out into the sweat laden atmosphere of lust, desire, passion and sex.

Anonymity and a drive in are guaranteed in over 800 „Telos“, as they are called in the local lunfardo slang. Whether its the teenagers and the young, fleeing their parents watchful eye, adulterers living out their perversions, or the married wanting to spruce up their romance; these pay-by-the-hour hotels have established themselves as a part of everyday life in the mind of the Porteños (people from Buenos Aires).

One will rarely find a local who has not resisted the temptation to spend a night in the seductive atmosphere of a love hotel in Buenos Aires.
